Leprechaun Coloring Pages for St. Patrick's Day
Leprechauns, leprechauns and more leprechauns. There are cheerful ones, sneaky ones peeking out of the shamrocks, a couple of them with pots of gold, and two in brass goggles because why not. Green is the obvious choice, but the old stories dressed them in red, so either one is right.
Steampunk Leprechauns
Here's a leprechaun who has been at the workshop: brass goggles, gears and a top hat with a metal shamrock on it. Steampunk mixes Victorian clothes with clockwork machinery, so bring out your metallic pencils for these two.
Where the Leprechaun Came From

The leprechaun on a St Patrick's Day card is a long way from the one in the old Irish stories. That one was a solitary old cobbler who sat mending shoes for the fairy folk, and he wore red rather than green. He kept a pot of gold hidden away, and if you caught him he had to tell you where it was, which is why the stories are full of people trying very hard not to blink.
He belongs to the Aos Sí, the fairy folk who live under the hills of Ireland, so he has some well-known relatives.
