Musical Leprechauns and Harps Coloring Pages
Give a leprechaun an instrument and he'll keep you dancing all night. There are fiddles, harps, drums, an accordion and a tin whistle on this page, so pick whichever one looks like the most fun to color.
The fiddle is the one you'll hear most in Irish music. It's the same instrument as a violin, just played faster and with more stomping. The harp is the other big one, and it's Ireland's national symbol, so you'll find it on Irish coins and even on a famous glass of stout.
That drum is a bodhrán (say "BOW-rawn"). It's played with a little wooden stick instead of your hands, and it keeps the beat for everybody else.
This fellow is playing a tin whistle, the cheapest and friendliest instrument in Irish music. It's a little metal tube with six holes, and plenty of Irish kids learn on one before they move on to anything bigger.
The stories say a leprechaun's music can lead you straight to his hidden pot of gold, or lead you somewhere you'd rather not be, depending on what sort of mood he's in. Either way, nobody who hears it can keep still.
