Pikachu’s New Friend
In a quiet forest, a little Pikachu darted between the trees. His yellow fur shone in the sunlight, and tiny sparks crackled from his cheeks whenever he was excited. Pikachu was an Electric-type Pokémon, which meant he could store electricity in his cheeks and use it to play or defend himself. He loved exploring, nibbling on sweet berries, and playing hide-and-seek among the bushes.
One sunny morning, Pikachu noticed someone new. A small child, wearing a bright hat, tiptoed through the forest. Pikachu froze and peeked from behind a tree.
“Hello, little Pokémon,” said the child softly. “I just want to be your friend.”
Pikachu twitched his ears and gave a little spark, just enough to show surprise. He didn’t know this human. He had always lived free and was careful around strangers.
The child crouched down and held out a shiny red berry. Pikachu sniffed the air, curious. He darted forward for a quick taste… then zipped back behind a tree.
“Don’t worry,” said the child gently. “I won’t hurt you. I just want to play.”
Pikachu’s cheeks sparked again, but this time with excitement. Slowly, he crept closer. The child’s hand stayed still, and the berry still rested in the palm. Pikachu nibbled it carefully, his tail wagging.
After a few moments, the child smiled. “I have a Poké Ball,” they said. “It’s safe and cozy. Pokémon go inside when they want to rest. You can come with me, and we can explore together!”
Pikachu tilted his head. He remembered stories from the forest... Poké Balls were for keeping Pokémon safe, not for hurting them. With a tiny spark of trust, Pikachu stepped inside the Poké Ball. It felt warm and gentle, not scary at all.
When the ball opened, Pikachu leaped out happily. He ran around the child, sparks flying in little bursts of joy. “Pika! Pika!” he cheered. The child laughed, clapping their hands.
From that day on, Pikachu and the child were the best of friends. They explored forests, shared berries, and played games together. Pikachu realized that sometimes, choosing to trust can lead to the happiest adventures of all.
