Welcome to our Minotaur coloring pages section.

The Minotaur, a fearsome creature from Greek mythology, is known for its terrifying appearance and tragic story. With the body of a man and the head of a bull, the Minotaur was born from the union of Queen Pasiphaë of Crete and a majestic bull, due to a curse placed by the god Poseidon. The beast was imprisoned in the intricate labyrinth designed by the master craftsman Daedalus, located beneath the palace of King Minos in Crete. The Minotaur demanded a tribute of young Athenians, who were sent into the labyrinth to be devoured. This monstrous creature met its end at the hands of the hero Theseus, who navigated the labyrinth with the help of Ariadne's thread and defeated the Minotaur, ending the deadly tribute and symbolizing the triumph of human ingenuity and bravery over monstrous challenges.

I earned my degree back in the early '90s, and as a lifelong learner, I continue to delve into the things I love. This includes technology (though I struggle to keep up!), art, early childhood education, history, and mythology as it relates to sociology.

I know that while the coloring pages are largely for kids, many of you visiting the site are educators and caregivers. I’ve tried to share some interesting trivia tidbits and fun facts to make your visit enjoyable too. Happy coloring!
