The Pilgrims were a group of European settlers who sailed across the Atlantic Ocean on a ship called the Mayflower in 1620. They came to North America seeking the freedom to live and worship in their own way. After a long and difficult journey, they built a small community called Plymouth Colony in what is now Massachusetts.
Life was challenging for the Pilgrims as they learned to grow food, build homes, and survive the harsh winters.
