Saint Lorenzo Ruiz Coloring Pages
Welcome to our Saint Lorenzo Ruiz coloring pages section!
St. Lorenzo Ruiz is the first Filipino saint and martyr. He was born in Manila in the early 1600s and worked as a church helper and calligrapher. When he was accused of a crime he didn’t commit, he fled the Philippines with a group of missionaries and eventually ended up in Japan—where Christians were being persecuted.
Even in the face of great suffering, St. Lorenzo refused to give up his faith. He is now honored as the patron saint of the Philippines and of Filipino people everywhere, remembered for his courage and devotion.
St. Lorenzo is often shown holding a palm leaf, which is a symbol of martyrdom and victory over death, and a rosary, which represents his deep devotion to prayer and to the Blessed Virgin Mary.
