Dark-type Pokemon Coloring Pages

Welcome to our Dark-type Pokémon coloring pages!

Dark Pokémon draw their strength from shadows, trickery, and the mysteries of the night. Many are inspired by sly animals, eerie spirits, or mischievous figures, giving them bold and dramatic designs that make for striking coloring pages.

Dark-types are strong against Psychic- and Ghost-type Pokémon, turning an opponent’s power against them. They are weak against Fighting-, Bug-, and Fairy-type Pokémon, which can break through their tricks. Some Dark Pokémon have unique abilities, like Intimidate, which lowers an opponent’s attack, or Pressure, which drains their energy more quickly during battle.

Dark-type Pokémon are cunning and versatile, often relying on tricky tactics, counterattacks, and immunity-based strategies. Introduced in Generation II, Dark types were designed to balance the game, particularly by countering the previously overpowered Psychic type. When paired with Ghost, Dark types once had no weaknesses at all (before the introduction of Fairy in Generation VI).

In Generations 2–3, all Dark-type moves were categorized as Special.
