Welcome to our Chalchiuhtlicue, Aztec goddess of water, coloring pages section.

Chalchiuhtlicue's Tale:

I am Chalchiuhtlicue, the goddess of rivers, lakes, and all waters that flow across the earth. My name means “She of the Jade Skirt,” and I move like liquid silver, weaving through valleys and forests, bringing life wherever I touch. I am the source of rain and the keeper of lakes, the one who nourishes crops, fills the rivers, and teaches mortals to honor the gift of water.

My waters are gentle yet powerful. They reflect the sky, mirror the moon, and carry the songs of birds and the whispers of the wind. I guide travelers along rivers, provide sustenance for villages, and cleanse the land with floods when it is needed. People offer prayers and ceremonies at my banks, leaving jade, shells, and offerings to honor my presence. Every drop carries my essence, connecting the heavens to the earth, the past to the present, and humans to the gods.

Even in storms, my power is not cruel but purposeful. I remind mortals of balance and respect, of life’s fragility and abundance. I am Chalchiuhtlicue, the ever-flowing waters, and through me, life continues, rivers run, lakes shimmer, and the world thrives under the watchful care of the goddess who dances in every current.
