Jay Coloring Pages

A blue jay's feathers aren't really blue. They're brown, and tiny structures inside each feather scatter the light so we see blue instead. Hold a feather up to a window and the blue disappears.

Jays belong to the crow family and like crows are quite clever. A blue jay hides a huge pile of acorns for winter and forgets some of them, and the forgotten ones can grow into oak trees. It can even copy a hawk's call.
