About the south wind, Notus:

golden autumn light on Eurus of the east wind

I am Notus, the south wind, and I come with the heat of summer and the promise of rain. I stir the fields and vineyards, carrying the scent of thyme, the whisper of distant storms. Mortals feel my breath on their skin and call me fierce or welcome, yet I am neither and both I am the pulse of growth, the wind that bends the reeds and swells the waves, shaping the world with invisible hands.

I remember the farmers turning their faces to me, their robes fluttering, the dust rising from the parched earth as I pass. I remember the ships caught in sudden gusts, their sails full and taut, the way they tilt and creak under my force. I delight in these moments. The power of my presence, the sudden storm, the way the air hums and dances at my command. I am everywhere and nowhere, a force that stirs life and shapes paths unseen.

I drift across the plains of Arcadia and the shores of Peloponnesus, threading through olive groves and through bustling harbors. I lift banners and bring clouds heavy with rain, carrying change and renewal wherever I go. No wall can hold me, no mortal cage me. I am freedom, ancient and vital, the wind that graces the land with summer rains.

As the sun rides high in the sky, I sweep across the hills and rivers, warm and steady, bringing the promise of growth, carrying the scent of life itself. I am Notus, the south wind, and the season bends to my will.
